About Me
A native of Rock Hill, SC for over 40 years, I have had the opportunity to work with people from all areas of the world. As a previous owner/operator of a business, an International Transportation Analyst, a business consultant and all of the other interests that I have had, working in Real Estate has been the most rewarding. The greatest opportunity in the world is to help another person or family obtain the "American Dream" for the 1st time. Home Ownership should be afforded to anyone willing to make the sacrifice to own a home, just like the free opportunity to have an education.

Receiving compensation when I make a sale is very rewarding to me and my children.

However, above all else, knowing that I made a difference in someone's life and their future IS PRICELESS!

If I can help you in the process of buying or selling a home, please allow me the opportunity to provide my services to you as a buyers agent (free of charge) and as a sellers agent (for an agreed upon fee ---only after I sell your home!) Thank you very much for your time today.

What is your opinion of Lending Tree loans?

Kimberly Gaffney answered:
Whether its Lending Tree or any other Lender that you are not familiar with, Lenders that are not local to you or the property you are wanting to purchase, remember the old adage, "Buyer Beware". I have seen Lenders put my clients through so much red tape and make promises to them that my clients swallow hook line and sinker. Only when the HUD-1 Statement is presented to all parties the day before closing is when the REALTOR sees the fees associated with the Lender and by that time, the clients are already hooked, have their heart set on the home, and are ready to close, regardless of how much money they just got ripped off for. My opinion is just like every other professional that answered....stick local, stick with someone you know...or go to the Lender that someone has recommended them. In the long run, it is the best choice for everyone involved in the transaction. I have heard of those "internet" lenders pulling out at the closing table and / or filing bankrupt at the final hour and the seller, the buyer, the listing agent, the selling agent...and everyone that had a part in the transaction are left out in the cold.
Hope this helps!

What zip code has the best Schools in Charlotte?

Kimberly Gaffney answered:
My suggestion is actually not in Charlotte, but a small town right outside of Charlotte, maybe 15 miles away...Fort Mill, SC. Zip code is 29715. Won't find much better. Lower SC Taxes, Lower Cost of Living, Less stress, less crime....need I say anymore??? :) Let me know if you are planning to move within the next 6 months and I'll be glad to send you our complimentary relocation kit filled with lots of information on Charlotte and york count, sc.
If I can help you further, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Hi Laura,
If you are referring to RENAISSANCE PARK off of W. Tyvola Rd near the Charlotte Douglas Intl Airport, I would like to invite you to ck out YORK COUNTY, SC. We are right across the state line only minutes from Tyvola Rd. There is Fort Mill, Lake Wylie, Baxter Village, Rock Hill...all are wonderful, low crime areas, slower paced than the Charlotte "hurry up and wait" and the best thing is that the cost of living , the price of housing, and taxes are much lower than in Charlotte. I would be glad to send you a free RELOCATION Kit from my Agency that tells all about the area here AND in Charlotte. Even though we are in SC, we are kinda like a little suburb of Charlotte, only in a different state and only minutes away.

Please email me your name and address and phone number and I will get the Relocation Kit right out to you. I also have plenty of website information sites that will lead you to our areas major Information search pages to tell you all about our town and the surrounding areas. I personally live in Rock Hill and have lived here almost all my life...born and raised here.

Kimberly Gaffney answered:
Hi again. To elaborate. I have received calls from people that are ready to just throw their hands in the air and move out of state because they are in over their heads with their mortgage, but they need somewhere else to live. They are asking me what to do and they say its too late to save them now. If its too late and their credit is destroyed for at least another 12 months, how is one to "rent" somewhere with a mess on their credit. This would be OWNERS THAT NOW need to rent due to not being able to get a new mortgage on something else less expensive. Just say they have exhausted ALL of their options.

Maggie,
Are you a Realtor looking for rental homes for your clients or are you looking to rent something yourself? I noticed your ID shows you are a Real Estate Pro. Just trying to figure out how to help you here.
