In my spare time I enjoy fishing, sculpting, cooking, and attending musical events. My husband and I have 4 wonderful pets and enjoy gardening together. I volunteer for Friends of the Jackson Animal Shelter.

The most important thing you can do is pricing your home correctly. That is your key objective in our local market. Your agent should give you a Comparative Market Analysis for your neighborhood which will show you what other homes like yours have sold for in the last 6 months. The key to getting your home sold quickly is pricing it correctly to begin with. The ditch and unkempt lot are deterrents that can be overcome.
Also, your listing agent should go the extra mile. Has she/he held public or broker open houses? What kind of marketing, advertising and promotion are you getting?
I work seven days a week so I can sell my seller's homes quickly. In our local market it takes proper promotion to get your home in front of the most buyers, and the right pricing will get it sold quickly. Let me know if I can be of more help! - Tue May 27 2008, 19:54
