Hi Home Buyer in Glen Allen,
Don't give up on the Fox or Munford areas. There is today, 22 houses with a minimum of 3 bedrooms for sale in those areas that are between $170,000 and $250,000. If you do not have a buyers agent you should get one. Of course I would be happy to help. I can email the list to you and show you those that you are interested in. I work at the Long and Foster Office on Nuckols Road so feel free to call me at 935-5936.
It is great living in this areas...where you can walk to stores and be around people that are walking, jogging, riding bikes etc. Good luck with your search

Yes John, Trulia can help, but an agent will insure you have the correct pricing and marketing plan in place. All marketing plans should include internet marketing so you want your listing on as many sites as possible. Many of these sites you can do on your own as a "for sale by owner".
Do you already have an agent in Richmond? You should get a buyers agent to represent you on your purchase here. Market conditions are different here and you should have someone do a comparable on the property you are interested in and help you with the process. The seller pays the commission...most of the time. Please call me if you need assistance. I would love to help. Long and Foster is one of the largest most respected companies on the east coast. We have a fabulous relocation division if you need help finding an agent in Phoenix. My number is 804-935-5936 - Sat Jun 14 2008, 11:15
All the previous answers are correct! Great advice from everyone. Just remember you will be dealing with the mortgage company and it will require patience and work. A realtor will help alot! So get one for this sort of deal. Call if I can help. 804-935-5936 - Thu Jun 5 2008, 10:20
If you decide to pursue a short sale be sure to have a Realtor with short sale experience. Also be prepared for a long process. It will probably be worth it in the end.

Sure, the city, the near westend is that way and has affordable homes up to millions. I walk and chat and meet new people all of the time. You have Carytown, the area of LIbbie and Grove and the Patterson Avenue shopping area and River Road Shopping areas. Call me...this is my area of expertise. I can keep an eye out for your perfect house/condo. If I could choose a smaller community to live in, I would chose Ashland. The town of Ashland around the college and the R/R tracks is quite friendly...but it is more than 10 miles from town. Worth the drive to check it out. If I can help call me at 290-8866 - Tue May 13 2008, 18:59
I live and work in the city, but also am very familar with Chesterfield and Henrico Counties. As a buyers agent, I will represent you with integrity and will work hard to find you the house for your dreams and will work to negotiate a fair price for you. Whether you are buying an existing home or a brand new home there is never a buyers fee.
As a sellers agent, I will market your house according to a 15 step marketing plan that includes a virtual tour, pictures, internet representation on Realtor.com, Trulia.com, Zillow.com, the local MLS and many more. I will provide you a marketing plan, calendars and a weekly activity report. I will represent you and your property with integrity and will work hard to insure and quick and profitably close.
