How do you receive REOs?

Robin Coons CRS ABR Luxury Homes Specialist answered:
Hi Robin,

It's frustrating isn't it, the bank REO Officers are lazy and don't care about their bottom line and they just dump dozens of listings on the agent's who just happened to get their name in the hat early. Some banks have stopped taking Agent applications for foreclosure homes.

Ironically many (Reno REO Agents) back while we were making money and busy, were sending out letters to not only REOs but FSBOs, expired etc. so now it is catch up time for many Top Listing Agents like yourself. This is why you tend to see some relatively unknown Agent's surface in this REO environment while we are stuck with the mom and pop overpriced listings in denial.

As many of us have noticed, some are unserviced with little or no pictures, comments, particulars, hard to contact the Agent's etc. I would love to see a top agent as yourself with actual assistants and systems in place get some, it would be a refreshing change. This is not to say of course that all REO agent's don't service 100%, some do quite well.

Have a good day,
Ron Bell
