What does it take to be a Fantastic Realtor?

I firmly believe that listening to your clients is one of the most important attributes it takes to be a successful Realtor. Honesty, understanding, and the willingness to put the clients needs first, are only a few of the qualities that make me a Top Producing Agent!!!

I have sold Real Estate for many years in Portland, Oregon and have been in The Desert for the last six years. During that time I have become very knowledgeable of the different area's from Palm Springs to Indio, especially concentrating on Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, La Quinta and Indian Wells. I also pride myself in my familiarity with the Golf and Gated Communities in these area's.

The Market in The Desert is not the DOOM & GLOOM that the Media likes to portray Nationwide. There is a home out there for everyone and our Market will continue to appreciate.

Clients, whether they are Buyers or Sellers, need an Agent who is aggressive and willing to go the extra mile for them!!

Buyers, give yourself the opportunity to be one of the people everyone will be talking about down the road, the one's that were able to acquire property now and reap the rewards later!!!

Sellers, you need someone who is Tech Savvy and knows how to market your property.

Canadian buying a home in California

Hi Kevin,
You need to check with a Lender here in California, but if I am correct, in California Canadians are not allowed to purchase Real Estate through a Corporation.
You need to put down 25% and do a Residential Loan. Or you can pay cash.
Once you own your own home, I believe you can sell it to your Corporation, but once again you need to check with your Tax Accountant.

Hi Roger!

The first thing you need to do is find a Realtor that you would like to work with.
You should always interview 3 Agents to see who suits you best. Be careful that you pick someone who is up to date with what is going on in our Market today.
You want someone who is going to price your house right, not just tell you what you want to hear.
Also, you need someone who is "Tech Savy" and will market your home in a number of different ways (thinking outside the box) to get you the best exposure.

Be sure to check with your Tax Accountant also to see if you can do a "10-31 Tax Exchange".

Hi Bonnie!

The most important thing to do is to find a Real Estate Agent whom you feel comfortable with and who will approach the sale of your home with the best knowledge of today's Market as possible.

It is very wise to interview 3 different Agents and decide which one has the best knowledge as well as picking someone who works with Technology and thinks "outside the box" as far as marketing your property.

You also want someone who is going to be honest with you about the Marketing of your Home. You don't want someone who is just going to tell you what you want to hear to get the Listing. You want someone who is going to actually sell your home.

As with everything here in The Desert, the price per sq ft for New Construction varies.

There are two kinds of New Homes Construction. You can either find a lot in an area that you like and get your own private contractor or there are quite a few New Home Developments that are currently being built.

I will do a little research and get you some detailed figures that break down these costs.
