Moving from Chicago to Raleigh. Looking for newer 5 br, & great public elem. schools. $900K max. Advice?

Here is the bottom line. North Raleigh and Cary have some of the best schools. We have not faced the same decline in the market as rest of the country, but you can buy a 1.3 million dollar house for under 900K. I know this because I am currently working on 200 short sales.
