I have been in the real estate business since 2001 and have been living in Raleigh since 1984. My concentration is in townhomes and condos, but also list and sell single family homes as well. I also have been assisting clients find rental homes until they decide where they want to live permanently. Last year I received my Senior Real Estate Specialist designation and am a member of the NC Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, and the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors. Please contact me if you are thinking of selling or buying a home in the Triangle area. I am available to service ALL of your real estate needs!

The average buyer's broker fee is only 2%? I'm not in your area, but the average broker commission here in the Triangle, NC area is 2.4 - 3%. Offer a higher buyer's agent commission and see if you get more activity. Good luck! - Mon Jul 21 2008, 08:54
There are several ways to list your home for sale by owner. First, you can place a For Sale by Owner sign in your yard, take photos and make a brochure listing all the interior and exterior features of the home and place outside beside your sign. Or, you can post an ad on Craig's List showing all features of your home plus 4 photos. Or, you can contact a Realtor in your hometown that will enter it into the local MLS for a specified fee, i.e., $500 - $1000 and all negotiations will be handled through you and the buyer. If your home has not sold within a certain # of days, you can always list it with the realtor and pay his/her commission for a full service listing. - Sun Jul 20 2008, 16:38
