Congratulations on your relocation to Raleigh! I am sure you are going to LOVE it here.
My dad relocated us here when I was 12, so I've been around here for a while. I think you will like the family friendly atmosphere, with tons of things for the kids to do. As you know, you're only an hour or so away from being able to access the Blue Ridge Parkway, Or about 2 hours in the other direction to hit the beaches! Or just stay close to home and visit one of the many local lakes for some recreation! What a great place to live!

BUT...to answer your question, area code 27616 will put you in the vicinity of Leesville. The only thing is that with Wake County Schools, reassignments seem almost inevitable! So, just be prepared for the possibility..!

I represent homes in the Triangle area ( Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill). This area offers SO much for family life and overal quality of life. I would LOVE to have the opportunity to show you around!
From the surrounding areas, you are always within 60 minutes of RDU airport. MANY boating opportunities exist at Falls Lake, Jordan Lake and more.
Wake County and Southern Granville Counties have excellent school systems, as do several others.
In the price range that you are considering, you have many many excellent options.

For some reason, I have had the privilege of assisting a LOT of clients from Florida over the last years. I just closed one 2 weeks ago and this buyer was VERY pleased at the change in his property taxes.

I do a lot of work in areas around the Triangle ( Raleigh, Durham & Chapel Hill). Tax rates DO vary, but you can find some very favorable areas! For instance, I sell quite a few homes in Granville County, just a few minutes north of Raleigh. The area is beautiful; it is still somewhat rural, but is growing at a nice pace. The Southern Granville County School system has a great record and the tax rate here in the County is just .69 per $100 valuation.

Check out North Haven Child Development Center at 6620 Six Forks Road. With a lower teacher:child ratio this one might work for you.
I DO have some good experience and knowledge of this center as my wife has been director there for 18 years. The center has an excellent reputation which can be checked thru the local office of Child Care and Resource Referrals.
