Congratulations on selecting the Spokane area for employment. One thing about Idaho that you should consider is less taxes. Gas runs $.40 to $.50 less than in Spokane. Prices have come down in the Coer d'Alene area in the last 6 months, thus like every where else it is a Buyers market.
