About Me
I am a down to earth Real Estate Broker who loves to work with people who are looking to better their lives by buying or selling real estate. Each client is different and so are their needs. I get to know my clients AND what it is that they want out of their real estate experience, and then I help get it. I advise my clients throughout the whole process and make sure that they are protecting themselves in every way that they can to ensure a successful transaction. I have worked with hundreds of people who have bought and sold condos, houses, and townhomes in the Portland metro area. If you ever have any questions, or need advice, I would be happy to help. What do you think of buying Green?

Stephanie Lundin answered:
To build green costs money of course, but the long term benefits and also the mentality of most portlanders seems to support this type of construction, even if it does affect their pocket dollar. I think that we all should support true Green projects and I love the idea that Portland is so progressive that we can really show the rest of the U.S. what matters most when it comes to city developement. I am proud of the people who have chosen to support Green projects and I hope that people in smaller price ranges will also have this opportunity. The issue there, is that since it does cost more money to be all green, some buyers simply can't afford the product. But the only way to get around that, is for those of you who CAN afford to buy green is to do it. So that the cost of construction materials will get dwindled down and it will become more of the norm. GO GREEN! - Mon May 19 2008, 12:51

I think that although agents should ethically think about their comission LAST when finding a property for their clients, it certainly can't hurt. - Mon May 19 2008, 12:45
Stephanie Lundin answered:
I would have to say that the market I work in, has been pretty strong. I wrote an offer for a client who was looking to buy a condo near the park blocks and we competed with 4 other offers. I sold a 2 bd Bungalow off of SE 88th in march and it was listed for 4 days and we got 3 offers...so I think that what this is telling us is that there is still a strong demand for properties in Portland. It is all about pricing right. The Hawthorne district for example is still VERY popular, and there are SO many poeple who would love to live in this neighborhood...that isn't going to change just because the market inevidablly has to go up and down....that is just how it works. Since the location is so popular, I would have to say that from your short description on the property, you are paying what it is worth. I know that in that location, it would be a great rental property as well...Anyhow, it is never a black or white answer, but in general I feel that Portland is still appreciating well. What goes up must come down, but what decides that is supply and demand. And buyers are still out there writing offers on properties that are priced well. - Mon May 19 2008, 12:42

Specialties
I specialize in residential home and condo properties. I got my start in real estate assisting agents in an urban condo firm in the pearl district. Once I was licensed, I assisted another Windermere agent who specialized in house and condo sales who also worked with a lot of condo developers. During my years in real estate, I have worked with literally hundreds of condo buyers, and am definitely well versed on the in's and out's of that niche in real estate sales.

The rest of my expertise is in detached home sales. I work with both buyers and sellers, and help them with their next step, whatever that may be. The first time home buyer market is definitely something I keep my eye on, and due to where most of my clients are at in their lives, a lot of the purchasers I work with are buying for the first time. I like working with first time home buyers because I understand how much information one needs before being able to make a really big decision to buy.

Real Estate is diverse by nature and so is my expertise. I am always happy to be a resource for people looking to figure out their next steps, and I am happy to provide information in a low pressure environment. so please do not hesitate to call or email me with your real estate questions!
