Peter i moved to Fla in 2003 as a manufactured homes dealer !
With great disapproval many people stated to me they didn't want a manufactured home.
After listening to the many complaints, i began to realize that most people really didn't know the different.
There are 2 styles of manufactured homes;
1). a mobile home
2). a modular home
Both are made inside of a factory and on some occasions the same location !
If most consumers ever had the chance to see how a modular home is built !
They would never buy a traditionally built home..
When i first became a modular home dealer i thought i was getting something for nothing ! Until i went on tour of the plant ! If traditional homes were built like the modular homes 90% of the people could not afford to purchase them . You have probably been in modular home / commercial building and didn't know it..
Even though this wasn't exactly the answer to the question that you ask ! I suggest that you take a walk though both factories and make your own decision before buying.. - Tue Sep 1 2009, 17:47
