You are correct about the bus service and the cutbacks. Although I would suggest that you look at the overall school ratings for the middle and high schools that your children will be attending. This is a trade off of having the children either walk to school or the parents drive them. It is a sacrifice that we make for a good education. Volusia County Schools may be having some major cutbacks, but your children will not get a better education than they will in Volusia County. I suggest you visiting each of the schools also to get a better feel for the school system. Do not make a rash judgement from what you are reading in the papers and hearing on the news.
