Plantation itself doesn't have much culutral events except for high school plans. However, the Broward County Center for the Performing Arts is about 25 minutes away (IN traffic!) and there are always great concerts and plays performing. We've got TONS of restaurants, everything from the chains to great local places like Beverly Hills Cafe to smaller take-out places like Billy's Wings & Antonio's Pizza. - Mon Apr 23 2007, 15:51
Plantation is 'the green city'. We've got more trees per square mile than many other cities in Florida. We love our parks - especially Central Park which has just about every amenitiy except horseback riding - and then you go to Volunteer Park for that! Lots of dog friendly parks, and even a full-fledged dog park by Seminole Middle School. - Mon Apr 23 2007, 15:51
Fantastic! Plantation offers most everything within a 15 minute drive. For grocery stores, nothing beats Publix - unless you need ethnic food & there are tons of Kosher & Asian markets in close driving distances. There's a lot of shopping, not only at the mall, but other boutiques stores as well. Bubbies & A Nose for Clothes always has great esmebles in stock. - Mon Apr 23 2007, 15:51
