Grand is in a neighborhood of older residents, predominately. The places are inexpensive so be prepared to put real money into fix-up. Personally, if you have a relative to live there and do the prop mgt, great. Otherwise, there is little income for a prop mgt company to watch over the place constantly.
There is no waiting list of eager tenants for this block at this time. Lots of other places avail, however, if you wish to be a good landlord who gets a suitable return on your investment..... - Sat Nov 1 2008, 09:32

In your area, USC, property value can be delightfully attractive if it's a lovely house with nice landscaping and a good-looking garage. Many people love the privacy and safety for playing children & pets.
If this is just a normal house, it may be less attractive because of no adjacent neighbors or kids to play with. - Thu Oct 30 2008, 08:20

They should revisit their settlement lawyer or the settlement lawyer's company and ask for help. He/she will tell them about the title insurance the buyer got. If they did not get title ins, let them worry a little...
Anyhow, if your parents owe the money, they should pay it, after first getting the lawyer to advise them for free.
OH YES, the closing sheet (HUD-1) states on the top of page 1 the name, address, phone of the settlement company. The real estate agent has nothing to do with this problem. - Mon Oct 20 2008, 16:53
