Rahul,
Yes you can buy property in the USA...as a foreign buyer some conditions apply. If you would like me to help you in the process of buying a home in the US, it would my pleasure, provided that you understand that I am a professional real estate agent and that my help and knowledge is part of my job for which I expect to get paid. The good part is that you don't have to pay me...the seller does when we close escrow on the house!
Again, if you need me assistance, just click on the link to contact me.

Your situation is an extremely difficult one but take comfort in knowing you're not the only person that is suffering the consequenses of this extraordinary market. Take it from me...I here this sort of thing a lot lately. Here's my suggestion: consult a Florida Real Estate Attorney that can advise you on foreclosure defense. Then speak to a Bankruptcy Attorney (in your state) and review your financial position to determine the best course of action. I know my recommendations are drastic measures but these are drastic times...remember that these two properties are like stocks losing value everyday and abviously you want to protect your greatest asset...your primary home! By the way...don't sign anything with these attorneys until you have consulted with your accountant. There is also the possibility to short sale the properties but that would depend on how far along the foreclosure process is and how upsidedown you are. As far as the Fed bailing you out...that's not likely to happen because they are not your primary residences. I hope this helped. - Fri Oct 10 2008, 23:36
