I have sold real estate in Panama City since October 1994. There is no greater purchase a family will make in their lifetime than there home. although not an exact science; a good estimate when trying to figure your future budget is multiply approx .3/4 of a percent X the purchase price $140,000.00 or in your case approx: $1050. For an exact dollar figure you should consult an Insurance agency. If this is a second home you should consult your current insurance company first; ask them about multiple insurance discount coverage.

current sales in the Seacrest Beach are around $280 per sq. ft. in the community and approx: $1,000 per sq. ft. on the beach. You can build a maverick home and set yourself apart from the rest for around $300 per. sq. ft. in the Community you will spend around $400-600 dollars per sq. ft. to build on the beach So you can purchase a brand new 2008 home on the Beach with over 6,267 sq.ft. for $6,364,000; or build it for around 2.7 Mil. see link below. If you own the dirt usually it is better to build and more cost effective; along with the housing market housing construction cost have decreased. you should consider Howard's Creek or Lake Julia; If you like to fish? Our new International Airport located approximately 8 miles to the north is under construction with an expected completion date of 2010. You are right to select Panama City as a 2nd home destination and or investment area; with the new International Airport we are looking forward to direct flights from Europe and abroad. There are currently a variety of condo's to choose from with each offering different amenities and or services; prices are currently discounted 30-40% in some newly constructed developments there are some fantastic deals RIGHT NOW! This is basic economics supply is high Everyone is selling BUY BUY!
