Rick, there have always been alot of rumors about the history of homes in Palm Springs. Since you have an idea of what you are looking for I would suggest that you do a title search for the past owners. This is sometimes difficult to prove, since it is not uncommon for famous people to own these homes thru a corporation. Just be careful to have rock solid proof if you ever advertise your home for sale and want to make use of the fact that it was once owned by a well known personality or studio. There has been more than one lawsuit in Palm Springs over homes that were incorrectly advertised.
