About Me
Judy and Nelson Horn, Tarbell Realtors, are a high-energy couple devoted to and passionate about real estate and their clients.

What separates them from the "run-of-the-mill" realtors is their industry knowledge, powerful negotiating skills, customizable services and programs rarely offered in the real estate community. Their innovation and mastery of the new and emerging real estate technologies combined with the best of traditional methods result in the best possible transactions for their buyers and sellers.

Tarbell Realtors have singled out and recognized the Horns’ contribution to real estate in many ways. They have placed the couple on a giant Tarbell Champions billboard on the heavily traveled Hwy. 111 in Rancho Mirage. The same billboard was routinely used in full page, Tarbell advertisements in the local newspaper. The couple was among the first inductees’ into the Tarbell’s e-AGENT program restricted to e-PRO holders with verifiable earned income and client satisfaction reputations. They are also active participants in the elite Tarbell Mastermind group.

The couple transitioned into business partnership from their former careers. Judy was an educator, writer, conference speaker, and technology expert. She helped school divisions comply with newly established state educational standards and federal No Child Left Behind Act while a member of the Governor’s Best Practice Center in Virginia. Her website, middleschool.net , was for years listed among the first and second ranking in the top ten search engines. Nelson came to real estate from the power and utility sector. He started his career as a salesman for the industry selling and supporting power plants in the U.S. and abroad. As he made his mark, he rose in his international l company to become a division Vice President. His reputation was that of extreme competency, honesty, and one who had tough negotiation skills. Sales revenue over a billion dollars was earned during his tenure in the industry.

The Horns currently reside in Palm Desert, California and service the communities of Palm Desert, Palm Springs, Indio, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Rancho Mirage and Cathedral City. The same qualities, skills and drive that helped them make their mark in the earlier careers are responsible for the successes they have in the real estate arena.

My husband and I just signed up for Trulia. If you have not located a realtor nor that condo, we would love to help you. I have attached one of our websites so you may become acquainted with us. - Fri Apr 4 2008, 10:43
Judy And Nelson Horn answered:
Does your realtor make the information about your home available in another format and encourage the dirive-by to contact them? Perhaps a call capture system, an 800# with an extension devoted to extolling the virtues or your home? Does he/she have a dedicated web site for your home? Is either or both systems advertised on a sign rider? Does system have a call caputre ability to follow-up with interested visitor? I feel the answer to your question depends on what else the agent is doing to promote your home. I also feel that if you want a flyer box the agent should immediately install one. I am to assume you did not get a written, measurable marketing plan for you home where the agent spells out what they will do, how it will be done and when it will be done. As realtors, we can not imagine not doing one of these for our clients. Regards - Thu Apr 3 2008, 19:18

Don’t give up! I work for Tarbell Realtors in the CA desert and my husband, Nelson, and I were selected to be in the first, small group of e-PRO agents to be inducted as Tarbell e-AGENTS. A certain skill level and the ability for lightning fast response time was required. When a potential client goes to http://www.Tarbell.com and makes a request for information the e-AGENTS are given those leads. We noticed that when we responded via phone or email to these folks we could not get some of them to give us the courtesy of a response. However, we have received some business from this program that we would not otherwise have had. The statistic that made me feel better was that approximately only 2% of the web contacts will result in any business. I think that numbers will steadily increase in the future. Nelson and I are realtors in the Palm Desert area of California not exactly close to where you will be moving. I am a former member of the Virginia Dept. of Ed.'s Governor's Best Practice Center. As a huge proponent of education, I would like to suggest that you investigate the school districts objectively. I am attaching a website that will help you do that. Along with the information supplied by the other respondents, I think you will be able to make the best decision on what school division to purchase your home in and then pick the school you wish to enroll your child in. Please share this site with others. Regards, Judy Horn http://www.schoolmatters.com - Thu Apr 3 2008, 12:35
