I relocated to Oxford with my husband Andy and our children in 1993 due to a new job opportunity for my husband. We typically relocated every 3-4 years to various locations throughout the Southeast such as Columbia, SC, High Point, NC, Thomasville, GA, Greenville, TN and Hamilton, AL. Little did I know that Oxford would become a permanent place to call home, the exception to all others. ""You have become such a special person to our family. You went above and beyond for us during the purchase of our home and the resale 3 years later and we are so very, very thankful""

"Here is just a few words from more satisfied clients!
"We made it! The closing on our house is over and our daughter is so excited about getting moved in. Lynn and I have been impressed with your professional manner and wanted you to know you that your help meant so much to us during the whole process of finding just the right home in Oxford."
Because you were on the job 24-7, we never had to worry about all those pesky details! We still don't know how you manage to handle all your phone calls, e-mails and appointments each day; but we do know that when we needed you, you always had time for us. You always seemed to have a pleasant outlook, a solution to any problem, and a smile on your face." Best wishes and many thanks,
Tyan Carter"

Great advise on how to get started. I have been a Realtor for 10 years here in Oxford, MS, 7 of which I have worked full time. I love it and have plans to stay with it for many years to come. The flexibility of my schedule is great and the money can be very good but be prepared to be very patient, to be disappointed or to feel very satisfied at the end of the day that you truely had a hand in making someone's dream come true.Once you receive your license and decide which brokerage you would like to work with, go ahead and commit yourself to working as a full time agent, not as a part timer.Go to the office as much as possible. Act like a sponge and absorb all the knowledge you can from the experienced agents. I am blessed to be working with some of the finest, knowledgeable, and trustworthy agents in our town here at Remax Legacy Realty. Also take an active part in your local board of Realtors. Volunteer and attend state conventions where you can make great contacts all around the state.Good luck! Sharon - Wed Aug 13 2008, 20:56
