We have a huge variety of shopping centers, from the upscale to those catering to the masses. From Nordstroms and Neiman Marcus, to WalMart. We have a Starbucks on every corner it seems, as well as several independent local coffee emporiums. Major grocery store chains as well as smaller, specialty food and organic or natural food stores abound as well. Orlando is a shopping mecca! - Mon Apr 23 2007, 15:51

Is Orlando good for families with children?

Barrett Thomas answered:
Orlando is a wonderful city for families. It is known for its scenic lakes and parks, which makes it very desirable for outdoor activities and exploration. It also has a wonderful science museum which caters to children. The lovely weather in our area also makes us a great destination and a family oriented community. - Mon Apr 23 2007, 15:51
Barrett Thomas answered:
The metro Orlando area is unique in that it is both a vibrant city and a close-knit community. Downtown Orlando has lots of restaurants and clubs for that 'happening' scene while the majority of homes are located in communities where people know their neighbors well and wave to each other as they drive by or walk their dogs. We have a unique combination of older residents and many young people, providing for a wonderful, multigenerational mix. We also have a wonderful combination of nationalities, giving a multicultural feel to our community as well. Our downtown has some 'high rises' that rise above our very flat, Florida landscape, giving downtown Orlando our 'citified' feel. That's where you find our high rise condos and office buildings. Elsewhere our architechture is more suburban in feel. Shopping is abundant as are restaurants representing just about every cuisine imaginable. - Mon Apr 23 2007, 15:51
