Rosa,
If you are talking about applying for a reverse mortgage loan on your current property you would be best served to talk to a lender first and foremost because the requirements are changing daily if not hourly. These loans are still available to homeowners, but the qualifications are most strict and you may not be able to borrow as much money as you once could have. It will also depend on your credit qualifications. If you would like the contact information for a great lender who will definitely be able to give you more details, please don't hesitate to email me.

Linda Hutchinson answered:
If it is due to your lender not having final loan approval, in Florida, you are probably not in default. Of course, it all depends on how many days you had to get your loan approval and the terms covered in your contract. Without seeing your contract, it is hard to give you an answer because there are so many time deadlines in a contract for sale and purchase.
However, I would contact an attorney to make sure you have done everything possible to get your deposit back. Short sales are terrible and difficult to close. - Tue Aug 19 2008, 18:01

Tony:
There are a number of great subdivisions...not just three. But I think the Live Oak subdivision is one of the best for newer homes. If you want another area that is lovely with a lot of land you might consider the quaint City of Chuluota which is right next to Oviedo.
Either way, you will love Seminole County and our beautiful Central Florida.
Cheers,

The Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission
http://(www.OrlandoEDC.com) is a great place to go for that sort of information. I believe that local economist Hank Fishkind
http://(www.fishkind.com) also reports those statistics. Good luck!
