Jon Shehan

Jon Shehan is the owner of Metro City Realty & Condos, Inc., The JWS Group and the new Gallery at Metro. Jon began working at Ron Jon Surf Shop, in Cocoa Beach, Florida, in his early twenties and quickly gained the respect and admiration of his co-workers and management. By age 24, he took on the responsibilities of the Marketing Department for the “World’s Largest Surf Shop” which, in turn, allowed him to purchase his first home in Orlando. Extensive renovations to his own properties allowed him to realize his passion for redesign, and soon The JWS Group was born undertaking renovation projects for other homeowners.

Combining his marketing experience with his knowledge of the local real estate arena led Jon to follow his passion of “everything real estate” soon obtaining his real estate license and shortly thereafter, his broker’s license. Not one to settle for mediocrity, Jon applied for a business license and opened the doors to Metro City Realty & Condos, Inc.

His personal and professional associations presented him with the opportunity to staff his office with the best agents in the industry and his acumen provided the foundation for an agency which is rapidly growing and becoming a fixture in the downtown Orlando marketplace.

Jon’s businesses were successful, and the community had always supported him. His gratitude has moved him to his newest project, The Gallery at Metro, a location for Orlando artists to display their works for the public, free of charge. The gallery provides a one-of-a-kind venue in its organization and style featuring close to 30 different local artists each month. Art pieces can be purchased at the Gallery. “The Gallery at Metro incorporates the goals of the artists, collectors and the Downtown Arts District,” says Jon.
