I became involved in real estate in May of 1989. I have sold millions of dollars worth of residential real estate as well as processing over 550 FHA foreclosures for HUD. I also did the appraisals for HUD. I have also been a new construction supervisor and was responsible for the construction of over 60 homes in the Portland area.

There might be a phone number on the sign post of the sign company, if not call the brokerage and ask for the principal broker, ask for the sign to be removed immediately. if not done remove it yourself.. stopping the ads might be a problem, however if it's in the local paper they should be able to stop the advertising-tell the agent if it's not stopped that you will report her/him to the real estate agency for advertising a property that's not for sale. hope this helps with your problem. it appears that the agent wants to keep the ad running to mine the prospects that call from the ad. - Tue Mar 4 2008, 22:07
It may take a few weeks for things to catch up. As long as you have clear title there is nothing to worry about. You might consider putting a SOLD sign in your front window. - Tue Mar 4 2008, 12:28
