About Me

Born and raised in Florida my whole life and I love it here! I enjoy spending time with my family and volunteer work. My sons are very active in Pop Warner Football ( Go Deland Bulldogs!)which is where most of our free time is spent. In my spare time, I enjoy riding the Harley with my husband and being outdoors either at the dog beach with my boxer or strolling in one of the many great Florida parks! I enjoy my work and it gives me great pleasure to help someone with their dream of owning their first home or selling a customer's home so that they can move into their next home.

Is there a site that shows the least expensive areas to buy in Florida?...?

Hi Anne
There are many inexpensive areas to buy in Florida and some of the least expensive areas are the ones that experienced the most appreciation in the boom. You should look into Volusia, Seminole and Orange County. These counties are near the beach and within 1 hour to Disney and other theme parks. Since you are not going to occupy the property for 6 months out of the year, you should look into maintenance free, gated communities. I have included a link to the State of Florida's list of 55+ communities but not all are gated or maintenance- free. Hello i am in the phase of buying a home here in deltona, just wondering about the crime rate

Hi Art
The others are correct when they tell you to check with the local sheriff's office and also Realtor.com for stats but being a native to the area I would suggest driving around the neighborhoods that you are most interested in different times of the day and it should give you an idea of what type of neighborhood you are looking at. Deltona is a very large city (population and land size) and there are many nice parts and there are TONS of DEALS!!!
