You will find that many homes that are listed are either in escrow or have been put under contract for sale. This is normal. Calling the listing agent on REO homes isn't the best way to go about getting information and status on these homes. Often the agents are not available to return calls, some have assistants who don't know enough about the home to answer the incoming calls.

The answers below are correct and helpful. I would also recommend driving to the local middle and high schools and getting there just before school lets out. I always suggest this to my clients if they are interested in communities.
