About Me
I am a Realtor with The Pych Team @ RE/MAX In The Village, Realtors. We are located in Oak Park, and that is our primary area of service. In addition, we also service Berwyn, Elmwood Park, Forest Park, River Forest, and many Chicago neighborhoods. My affiliation with RE/MAX means that I am equipped with the resources of the world's leading real estate company while being supported by the expertise of many top local agents. Kyra has 20 years of success as a local Realtor. Our main website is http://www.KyraPych.com

I grew attached to the Oak Park area while attending college at Dominican University in River Forest. After becoming a first time homebuyer in Oak Park two years ago, I realized my passion for real estate and turned my focus toward pursuing a career as a Realtor.

I first worked as a licensed real estate assistant selling new construction condos in Chicago's Bucktown, Wicker Park, and West Loop neighborhoods. While it wasn't my market niche of choice, I did learn a great deal about real estate development and am now well equipped to help my clients navigate the new construction market.

I believe that I owe it to my clients to learn as much as I can about everything I can in order to provide the best service. Since joining RE/MAX in 2007, I have taken advantage of some unique training opportunities, such as foreclosure prevention, that have enhanced the services I provide.

I am a member of the Oak Park Area Association of Realtors and the Illinois Association of Realtors.

I am intelligent, personable, and technologically savvy. I will protect your confidential information and act in your best interests at all times.

Whether moving to, from, or within Chicagoland, The Kyra Pych team will make sure your move is a successful one! Call or email us for a complimentary, no obligation meeting to discuss your real estate needs.

House for sale in Oak Park

Laurie, RE/MAX Realtor answered:
Hi Irene,
Interesting conundrum you and many buyers are finding themselves in these days... What can you really lose by putting in the offer at your preferred price? Many sellers are negotiating far more than they would have previously. Conversely, many sellers would not be able to afford to sell their homes for much less than they're asking... It's a case by case situation, and you won't know til you try. Best of luck!

Laurie, RE/MAX Realtor answered:
In my market (Oak Park) we are seeing buildings whose bylaws have a "right of 1st refusal" clause actually decline in value because these units cannot be approved for FHA financing, a major funding source for 1st time buyers. If you have a say in the matter, get your association to strike that clause! It will help everyone in the long run. - Mon Jun 30 2008, 12:45

My dad has lived in this development since 1995... I could probably get ahold of the rules and regs for you if no one else responds with anything useful...

On the EL vs. Across the street.

Laurie, RE/MAX Realtor answered:
I would ask a few local realtors to present CMA's (comparative market analysis) for your property. They will do the homework for you! Ask them about their marketing plans and their ideas to overcome the el tracks and get buyers in the door. - Sun May 18 2008, 06:01

Laurie, RE/MAX Realtor answered:
Always use caution when answering those ads on electric poles! There are so many scam artists taking advantage of distressed home sellers these days. Yes, Realtors do sell depressed properties. Contact the top brokerages in your area and talk with the brokers (owners/managers) about which of their agents might do the best job of marketing and selling your home, as most agents work with specific markets and types of properties. Best of luck. - Sun May 18 2008, 05:50
