Carnegie Hill is one of Manhattan's neighborhood's that once you move into, most people never leave. It's borders are 86th Street to the south, 98th Street to the North (on 5th Ave), 96th Street on Madison, Park, & Lexington, and just West of 3rd Avenue to the East.

Carnegie Hill is a wonderful place to live. Zoning has kept the high rise condos to a miniumum. Spectacular town houses and some of the finest prewar apartment houses ever built are there. It's somewhat underpopulated, quiet, clean, and access to the reservoir makes it the best place to live in this city. The small retail shops on Madison Avenue in the low 90's are wonderful, and the proprietors all know you by name. The restaurants are second to none! http://www.ourcarnegiehill.com to learn more. I live in the neighborhood and would be happy to answer any other questions you have. robert@ghk.com
