About Me

Craig Mirambell Jr, Broker/Owner of Mirambell Realty, Metairie Office, has years of experience specializing in residential real estate transactions. From condos to multi family units we sell it all. Mirambell Realty was started in June of 2006. I discovered after working for some other companies, the need to develop realtionships with my clients. I wanted to interact with my clients through whatever form made them feel most comfortable. Catering to everyones needs allows Mirambell Realty to service all clients. Craig was born and raised in Metairie. I travel often and on each trip try to stop into one real estate office. If Ican pick up one new tip to help service my clients, I am thrilled. I strive to learn and model from the best. As a lifelong resident of Metairie I have seen many change take place in a few short years. Certain areas have skyrocketed in value while others have plummeted. I like to work in areas as well as buy properties in areas that need change. This gives our company an opportunity to change the outlook on an area.

I atteneded St Angel Elementary, Rummel High, Nicholls St, and UNO. Some of my fondest memories were my football days at Rummel and Nicholls. I received my Bachelor's Degree from the University of New Olreans. I am married to my beautiful wife Kristi Mirambell, we currently have no children. Kristi is a civil engineer with Audubon Engineering.

Currently, Mirambell Realty is growing. I am constantly looking for new agents to join our team.

I am a minister with a possible assigment to New Orleans. What's the average cost of a 4 bdrm home?

You could find 4 bedrooms ranging from 69,000 to 5.3 miliion. The median is 360,000, but you could find plenty in nice areas, around 200,000.

Metairie, I agree will make you happier. Its close enough to the city, but far enough from the city. Plenty of shopping in Metairie.

Rent for 600 will be hard to come by, for something nice. A roomate may be the better idea if you decide to rent. But another difficulty you may find is a less than a year term

But why rent when you could buy, whats your biggest hang up. Is it the down payment or not knowing where to live?

Hey Jaime, I recommend you purchase. Thing is, rents , in my opinion, are still over priced. For 1,200, you may still end up with a not so great place.
A couple question I have, are you putting any money down if you were to purchase?
With you monthly payment of 1000-1200, are you including escrows for insurance and taxes?
I know we can find nice townhomes and or condos in your price range.

There are plenty of lease to owns in our area here(New Orleans), I know your area is hot lately. We were impressed at the quickness of housing flying off the , so that may not be good for lease to own there. You should consult a Realtor in your area, I can help with that if needed.
If your credit is excellent, there may be ways of getting a mortgage, but it will be tough. If you can't, i would look for lease to own like you said, no renting. - Thu Jul 10 2008, 21:05
