I do not believe in charging you money for something I am not doing. With me, there are no set fees. I provide you a list of services and fees for those services. After I consult you on the importance of each service, YOU decide which ones you want and want to pay for and that's ALL you pay for. I have an office in New Lenox and Peotone. I have been in the Real Estate business for several years and I know that the best Realtor is the one that gets the job done, for the best price and with the least amount of anxiety for you. The key in this market is knowing your target buyers and marketing directly to them. Most buyers are relocating from Chicago or from other parts of the country and the world. All Realtors are members of the MLS, so it makes no difference to you who places your listing there, for all Realtors will have access to it through he MLS!

As a home buyer, if I find a property online and contact the listing agent to see the property do I have to pay that agent a commission if I buy it?

You should NEVER have to pay a commission as the buyer. If it is listed on the MLS than the sellers are offering a commission already to the buyers agent. As said already though, I would not recommend using the listing agent to represent you when they are already representing the sellers. Find an agent that you can trust and that is NOT going to charge you anything. I would be more than happy to show you any homes you're interested in and will never charge you a dime regardless of how little the sellers are willing to pay me.
