Carrie, several points: Spring Hill is close to Saturn/GM, but that is all as far as manufacturing. Also fairly expensive unless you go as far as Columbia (another 10 miles past Spring Hill. Murfreesboro is 30 miles from the center of Nashville, but a great community. Rutherford County/Murfreesboro just passed the 100,000 mark in population. One of the fastest growing cities and business communities in the country. Lots of business and shopping, and while Nashville is not known for major manufacturing, most of the manufacturing is in the SE corridor (Smyrna, LaVergne, and Murfreesboro). While Murfreesboro is a bit out there, there is so much going on out there, you may not need to or want to come into Nashville very often. Also very close to Smyrna (home of Nissan plant) and LaVergne. Some pockets of
Antioch and Tusculum areas may still work. Just have to find the right neighborhoods. I have this house listed in Tusculum, just minutes from I-24 and either Haywood Lane, or Bell Road (Hickory Hollow).
