I am a realtor with Dockside Realty located at Market Commons town center in Myrtle Beach, SC. I pride myself on knowing what it takes to keep my clients happy. Dockside Realty and myself offer a face-to-face service combined with todays technology. Its a simple concept but one that has people re-thinking who they'll do business with.

Ellen - Hi, I hope you are finding all this information very helpful to you with your considerations. Everyone has had some great input to your question yet we are all fairly general without more details as to what you and your family truly desire in a long term outlook. I say this because while the Market Commons area has MANY great features not found elsewhere in the area it does have some draw backs just as stated in previous reply. To give you the most helpful feedback someone really needs to have a full snap-shot of the lifestyle you wish to have once you settle in your new home. This may be worth a email or call to someone you know or an agent that can give you some options based on this knowledge. A example of what I am saying, while the location and walk to everything features at Market Commons are very appealing you also may find yourself paying (as always) for this in the housing. If this "close community" is not a must for you, the Myrtle Beach area has many other choices at possible lower to equal prices or with different features. However, if this is the type of community you wish to settle then you will be hard pressed to top this area and the features the development has to offer. Also with the Market Commons area there are many choices from single family homes to condos to choose from in this area. So you know my company (Dockside Realty) is located in the Market Commons town center. I mention the information above from comments of people I come in contact with daily looking in the same area. However, please dont let me turn you away from this area, it is truly a unique area with a lot of growth potential and community features to be enjoyed. I would love to send you some more information about the area and its choices, if you would like to contact me (Nathan@DocksideMyrtleBeach.com) I would gladly send you some information about the area. - Tue Jul 1 2008, 16:10

Myrtle Beach area home sales during the third quarter declined 26.77 percent compared with the third quarter last year, according to the S.C. Association of Realtors’.
The median sales price in the Myrtle Beach area also fell to $194,000, a 3.48 percent decline compared with the third quarter of last year. Homes spent an average of 209 days on the market - an 11.15 percent increase from last year.
However, the area of the property around the beach can make a huge difference. I feel the interest is still in the area however, people seem to be looking at more locations as there are more listings, due to sell rate, than last year for them to review and choose from. If you want to contact me or have them I would gladly take a quick look at the specific area and try to give some more helpful information related directly to the property. - Fri May 16 2008, 09:17
