Do you have a particular property in mind? This can be answered a lot better if we can look up the listing on the MLS and see the property history. If you like, email me the MLS # or address and I'll look it up and let you know how long it's been on the market and what you're working with. If not, it's hard to say without knowing more about the property. It will be easier to negotiate a price if you have a REALTOR doing it for you, rather than dealing with the sellers agent. I just looked up Anderson Ocean and they have (5) Active listings, from $314,900 to $384,900. They have (11) under contract ranging from $300,000 to $370,000. There are lot's of other condos for sale as others have mentioned but if this is what you are interested in, they seem to be selling so now might be the time. If you would like to discuss it further and the other details they have on the MLS, let me know. Even if you don't contact me for info., I strongly suggest having a buyers agent represent you in your purchase. No, you can make offers but keep in mind others might also be making offers. In addition, sometimes it takes weeks until they tell you if they have accepted your offer. Usually the seller, in this case the bank pays the commissions to the agents involved. I have seen them pay some closing costs but I'm not sure if that's common. - Thu May 8 2008, 19:41
