Our Charleston market has been touched by the national shift. The "Post and Courier", our local newspaper, said today that the median home price in Charleston is now $176,750. That's quite a drop from the over $200,000 price of the past. Our spring market begins this month and in my office we are already seeing multiple offers on well priced properties.

There is a lot of inventory, interest rates are low and many sellers are highly motivated. It's a great time to buy here and it may be one of the few times you can live near the beach at an affordable price. - Wed Feb 11 2009, 05:55
