Without representation from a realtor in any real estate transaction, the realtor is working for the party selling. If you sign a Buyer's Representative agreement with a realtor, their loyalties will be to you!
A Buyer's Representative Agreement can be for hours, months, or years! You the consumer decide what time frame you choose for the realtor to represent you. If you do not have a realtor, the builder's salesperson is working for the builder and has the builders best interest in mind. In my opinion, you will come out on the best end of a deal if you have someone working for you. - Thu May 8 2008, 08:01

In my opinion, Zillow has not been accurate. There are many more reliable sources to find a fair market analysis of your home. Start with your local real estate agent. Most will give you an unbiased complete market analysis of your home without any charge to you. - Thu May 8 2008, 07:38
