How come the Vikings stadium has stalled out for blaine?

Ultimately, the Vikings wanted too much money contributed from Anoka County. The County and the team could not reach an agreement. Instead, the Vikings' owner, Zygi Wilf, a real estate developer, began buying up land around the Metrodome. The current plan appears to be for Wilf to get a new stadium on the site of the Metrodome and leverage his willingness to develop that area (with shopping, business, and living areas) in order to get public funding. - Tue Jul 17 2007, 13:49

Is St. Paul as cold as Minneapolis in the winter time?

St. Paul's and Minneapolis' downtowns are literally minutes apart, and the cities actually touch each other in certain parts ... so yeah, you could say they're as cold as one another in the winter time. - Tue Jul 3 2007, 17:38

Why does it seem that many buyers are hesitant to purchase property this spring?

I personally think the media is spreading so much doom and gloom, people aren't able to sift through and see the bright side. I'm constantly waging the PR battle on how great a time it is to buy (and actually, for homes priced right, it can still be a great time to sell). I wish we could see a more effective effort from our associations, but for every ad they run you get a one-sided 60 Minutes piece or a Star Trib story about people who wanted to buy, but decided it was more "economically viable" for them to rent (see last weekend's Saturday edition, I believe it was). So I've found myself being an educator for many potential clients. Then again, when you show your expertise, those people are more likely to go with you. So in a way, it can be a good thing. - Tue Jul 3 2007, 17:30
