About Me
"Your guiding beacon through changing tides" has been the philosophy that I have followed since I joined real estate. I take great pride in being able to help a customer with any real estate transaction that they may have. Call or email me with your questions! I am the mother of 5 children, an active supporter of St. Baldricks foundation,cofounding member of the Long Island Irish Festival with my husband and best friend. I am President of the Irish Cultural Centre of Long Island. Call me with any of your real estate needs.

The first question is....where will you be working? What kind of commute do you wish to do? Do you have any idea about where you would like to live?

Took my NY real estate exam and passed it in August 2007. I've not worked as a realtor at all. How long do I?

You have two years, generally. The issue may be that NYS is making new requirements of agents and you may have to take everything over again. - Mon May 19 2008, 19:17

You have 2 years, after that you would have to retake the state exam and probably the testing. NY has new licensing requirements taking affect in July. - Mon May 19 2008, 16:06

Alison, Real Estate Professional in Atlanta

A lender I've been working with told me to avoid co-ops because it is much harder to get financing. Is this?

Requirements for a co-op mortgage may not be harder from the bank, but requirements from the co-op can be. Down payments range from 10% to 25% down. There are no seller concessions. The board will go over your financials as well as the bank. They want to make certain that you can pay the maintenance fees of the co-op.
