Kevin Keyser has always had a passion for real estate. Jovana Keyser has a true love for interior design, aesthetics, and art. A lifelong and prolific painter, In 2001 she began helping Kevin with income properties, and grew passionate about remodeling properties to bring out their full potential. She uses these skills today to help sellers "spruce up" and prepare their properties prior to putting them on the market. Jovana also loves to help buyers find the home of their dreams.

They are also both very active with animal welfare organizations, and donate a portion of all income from real estate sales to the Marin Humane Society, the San Francisco SPCA, and the Marine Mammal Center. Can seller back out of accepted backup offer?

On top of all that Wendy is right- you should contact the broker. If the seller signed a counter offer stating he has accepted you as a backup offer you still may have some grounds to force him to perform but it would be important to consult a real estate attorney. The broker might realize this and "encourage" the seller to move forward with you as a backup offer on your original terms. Hope that helps! - Mon Jun 8 2009, 23:17
