About Me
I was born in Cuba in 1970, studied surveying and mapping and worked in that area for a while.
When I realized that my work was not going to take me anywere, I decided to leave the country and come to the States.
After I arrived, I started working inmediatedly in "Atlantic Precast", a company that manufactured concrete pipes and other drainage structures. But that work reminded me of an old injure in my back, I had to look for another job.
So I started in a surveying company, in Norcross, Ga. in which, first, I worked as survey crew chief and later moved on to office work. after 12 years I grew tired of dealing with goverment red tape and runarounds, I made a decision to change careers and get a real estate license.
So now, after much education and adjustments, I am working as a Real Estate Sales associate with Coldwell Banker RMR in Norcross. I have become attached to the City of Norcross in the 13 years I have been here and I consider it my adoptive city.

If you have and agent, you should ask him/her for advise, otherwise;
You can look in the county records and find any information regarding the amount of the loan and sales price for that house, this information is available to any individual, the amount of the loan that remains to be paid you can only do a guess since you do not know what the interest is. and how much he/she has paid over time.
as far as being behind in payments, you should look for notice of defaults recorded for this property, there are many websites that offer this information. I have not been able to verify that information myself. there's nothing better than going to the courthouse and dive into the books yourself, look for notice of Default (NOD) and notice of Trustee Sale (NTS). for Georgia, there's a website called http://www.gsccca.org where most of the recorded information is available, it is a pay site, but it saves you the gas and crowds.
Also, the official newspaper for the county where the property lies, posts properties that are going to be auctioned the first Tuesday of the following month at the courthouse steps, i can give you the web pages form some of the metro Atlanta ads if you like. - Thu Aug 28 2008, 13:12

Jones Bridge Park next to the Chattahoochee (East Jones Bridge Road). Island Ford Park is near Norcross with walking trails and next to the river as well. - Mon Jun 23 2008, 07:52

I actually live very near the Highcroft S/D and I love it here, it is a relatively small place with its own amenities and very beatifull homes, Bishops Glen is closer to the center of Norcross, more in the business area of the city, the homes are pretty and the subdivision is also relatively small, if you like the city life, Bishops Glen is better, if you want relaxed, quiet and shopping and walking, the Highcroft is more where you want to be.

Ditto what Zach had to say. another question would be, How did you get in a contract $4000 under? is it closing costs, you did not figure in the transaction? Did the house appraised under the asking price?,
Your agent should have a handle in these, ask him, there's always a solution. - Sun Mar 16 2008, 07:26

I think the Iceberg just got smaller

Alex Rodriguez answered:
I am worried that this "solution" may, artificially, create a stable market. What hapens when the freeze is up, will the market go on a steep dive? Will people now on a cinch be able to unload their mortgages and/or get better rates, fixed rates that they can afford or will it be "I got 5 more years, the government will bail me out again"? - Fri Dec 7 2007, 09:19
