You really need to establish an open relationship with your realtor before you sign a contract. In your case, since the contract has alreasy been sign, discuss your concerns with your realtor. If you are obligated to keep the house on the market, ask your realtor if you can advertise the property for rent while it is being sold. Your realtor should always have your best interest in mind, so just try to discuss your options openly.
