Description:
Easy-going and focused, with an irrepressible sense of humor and a sharp eye for business detail. Usually seen wearing a smile. Except for his Internet presence, Richard has no need to advertise because his past clients consistently refer the people they care about.
Education:
Richard holds a bachelor's in engineering and master's in English (go figure).
Birthplace:
New Jersey, but also lived in Japan, England, Montana, Missouri, New York, and Florida before moving to Southern California in 1979.
Date of Birth:
Old enough to remember when rock and roll was young. Young enough to turn up the CD player now and then.
Likes:
Meeting and serving wonderful people. Building relationships that last many years after an escrow closes.
""I found Richard on the internet, and when we met I gave him quite a challenge: I wanted a particular kind of house and a certain neighborhood. I told him how much I had to spend, and that I needed to move in within four months. He rose to the occasion, and we spent weekends devoted to looking. He was very thorough, methodical, and took my issues and concerns to heart.
Richard then took me to an estate sale before the general public. I liked it so much! I was nervous, but we got my offer accepted and I moved right on time. The other broker was disorganized and unreliable, but Richard's attention to detail truly made the sale go through. I knew I'd chosen the right realtor.
I've been in my house for 2 1/2 years now. I’ve redone the bathroom, built a deck, added a hot tub, and enjoyed landscaping. The property's gone up in value more than 50% and, of course, there are those delicious tax savings.
Would I use Richard again? Darn right! Even now he provides me with recommendations for plumbers, electricians, carpenters, handymen, etc. He made the process enjoyable, time and cost effective, and gave me respect throughout it all. He's a man of high integrity, loyalty and dependability. Thanks Richard!""

Relax. If you paid the same amount that it sold for in 2004, you've got a property poised for appreciation. How soon that begins and how much depends on your geographical location and any local factors that might influence land values. And please remember: you bought the home, not as a get-rich quick scheme, but as a solid investment and a tax shelter. Think how much better off you'll be in 10-20-30 years than if you kept renting! - Sun Apr 27 2008, 17:48
