Born and raised in North Central Idaho, I've been a businesswoman all my working life. I graduated with honors from with a Bachelors of Science degree in Justice Studies (Law). While in school, I married my college sweetheart, Mike Ankney, a Financial Planner and Stock Broker with KMS Financial Services. Our son, Shawn, is a student athlete in Asotin High School.

My husband and I owned AF Enterprises, Inc. working in the petroleum industry as builders of convenience stores and service stations. You also want your agent to know the community. I dedicated over 5 years of community service as a City Councilwoman while living in Asotin, WA. While I've worked many years for the enhancement of our valley in other volunteer positions, I'm perhaps most proud of my appointment as the Director of the Guardian Ad Litem program for Court Appointed Special Advocates (C.A.S.A.) that serves children who are neglected or abused; representing their best interests in court.

I have a client whose sister is a Realtor in Spokane Coldwell Banker who puts up caution children playing signs that attach to the mail box. She has gotten most of the neighbors to take one and they have her name, company name, and phone number. It gets advertising and people to slow down. However, my take on it is that people look at it as a sign to not buy there because of the busy street. People have slowed down, but be a little cautious of that. If you want her contact information so you can get some of these let me know and I'll get you her email address. Short of having the police department sit there or put a dummy car on that street, you may have to resort to that - and you advertise yourself as well. - Wed Aug 13 2008, 09:20
