The buyer has the right to have the desired inspections they deem appropriate at their own expense.
The radon test however is usually not a huge concern as most homes will pass with very little effort. Radon is a naturally occuring gas and it has been said that since homes are built so "airtight" these days that this gas rises through the foundation into the home having no escape if the house remains coninually "sealed" . The best way to prepare for a radon test or to lower the radon reading in any home is to open as many doors and windows as you can for a day or two or for several hours over several days etc to allow this gas to escape.
Of course there are areas that are prone to higher levels of radon which will produce higher readings no matter what you do, but the buyer has the right to obtain that determination and to base their decision on buying your home on that information.
Hope this helps!
