Kathy,
When I need a rental for a customer, I call Jeri Jackson who specializes in rental homes in North Lakeland. She surely has a place for you now. You can reach her at jerijackson1873@yahoo.com. If you need further assistance, let me know and I can get you a couple more agents that handle property management in the Lake Gibson Sleepy Hollow school districts. - Tue Jul 22 2008, 19:03
Duane,
Let me know what exactly what you are looking for. We have some listings you may be interested in. Would this be to rent out or for a family member attending the school?

Connie,
I like Joel's answer. It sounds like good advice from someone who has been through something similar. Obviously you are in need of money. If the bank did work with you, you still must focus on how to make your payments on time in the future. If your home were a large home, you might find someone to move in and help you with the payment. Refinance might be a stretch and would require money to pursuade the bank to give you a new loan under new terms. Once a homeowner is in the foreclosure quicksand it is very difficult to climb out (with this property). Consider your options and what might make things easier on the family. Contact a local realtor who can assist you with getting some some answers about foreclosures and information on short sales. Good Luck. - Sat Jan 26 2008, 13:58
Bob,
There are special financing plans for first time home buyers in Polk County. There is bond money and the keystone program. Available funds come and go. You will need to contact a lender and inquire about current funds. One lender that can answer those questions would be Landmark Mortgage in Lakeland. You can contact them any time at 863.287.0222. - Sat Jan 26 2008, 13:37
Hi Ramona,
In Florida the seller typically pays the entire commission. You may have a small fee from your agent, but normally sellers understand the commission is paid by the seller. If your agent finds you a home that is for sale by owner, you may end up paying the commission for your agent. However, even in this case the "for sale by owner" usually pays the commission charged by your agent. - Fri Jan 25 2008, 13:52
