Hi Bragen, You most certainly can have a dog or two at The Villages. We do have leash laws for any pets, dogs or cats. There also is a "pick-up" policy so be sure and bring your pooper scooper!. The Villagers LOVE their pets and more time than not people bring them to the square to show them off. There is even a dog park for play days for the animals. Most home are assessible by a golf cart to a pet store and some vets. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. (Deed restriction do limit the number of pets to 2, but I've never heard of anyone having to give up a pet, just know that a person could be required to remove any more than two if the animals were a nuisance)
