Why would or should a buyer consider FHA financing?

Lance Goodwin answered:
FHA financing is more and more becoming the way to for first time home buyers or those with low credit scores. In fact, with FHA finaincing, the buyer may be more likely to receive a more favorable interest rate, yet it does require the buyer to put 3% down. If you are asking this question, I would say it is likely that you have yet to have a great relationship with a lender. I would suggest you go to my web site, listed below, where you will find a lender who can answer your questions. His name is Thomas Wood. Great communication between the buyer, real estate agent and the lender is essential for you to receive the best representation. Feel free to contact me anytime. - Sat Mar 22 2008, 09:12

Hi Jenny,

Although it is never enjoyable to be surprised by potential buyers who want to view your home, think of the alternative. That is, no one showing your home. Talk to your agent and ask them why you are not getting calls in advance. Does the listing have your phone number and a note that says "call at least 1 hour prior to showing"? Further, I am sure you chose a Realtor, who Richard pointed out, would be working with you to ensure that you are not being troubled outside of what you should expect. Truly, selling a home is an inconvience on your life, but one that is necessary. One more thing, I would suggest that you do not want your agent present for viewings when the buyer and his viewers are looking for at your home. So, communication is the reason many buyers or sellers are dissatisfied with their agent. Both you and your agent should work on having a better relationship, thus ensuring a more pleasant experience. - Fri Mar 14 2008, 09:41

You are correct about the hype of Maple Valley. MV is a growing community that is still in it's infancy as far as building goes. It could possibly be considered a future Snoqualmie with it's proximity to up and coming Covington. Covington boasts many restaurants, stores and a planned Costco which should open up in either late 2008 or early 2009. In addition, MV's is located along Hwy 18, which more and more is becoming a good alternative commute route. Oh yeah, values are much better than than the Issaquah, Snoqualmie area. - Thu Mar 13 2008, 23:19

I am a Windermere Real Estate agent in the Kent area of Washington. Since many sellers waited to sell last year and are now finding the market time longer than they expected, it may be a good time to put an offer in on a lake front property. I would suggest looking into Lake Morton in the Kent/Covington area. I am familiar with on house in particular which is a 2 bedroom, lake front house for $417,000. Last year I assume this house would have sold in days, this year, possibly months. Call me if you would like to take a look. You can also go to my website to take a look at the house. - Thu Mar 13 2008, 20:50
