Kristie Smith, REALTOR and Relocation Director at Real Estate Links in Carmel, Indiana

Kristie began her marketing career in the healthcare industry, and she brings more than eight years of marketing results into the real estate profession. Kristie knows that marketing a house takes much more than a yard sign & MLS listing. Just ask her! Most of her listing have sold in 60 days or less!!

More specifically, Kristie spent over five years working within online marketing where she focused upon using the Internet creatively to gain marketing results. Kristie can efficiently and proactively meet clients' real estate needs by using the Internet and technology to its fullest capabilities. And, with over 93% of home buyers going to the Internet for finding a home, this has catapulted Kristie to the cutting edge of the Indianapolis real estate market.

Real Estate is not new to Kristie as she also owns several residential and commercial real estate investments. Kristie manages and maintains several high-quality investment properties, and she regularly educates others in beginning their real estate investing businesses.

Kristie has been married for nearly nine years to a local anesthesiologist, AJ, and they live on the NW side of Indianapolis. When not working or volunteering, Kristie loves to volunteer with local charities, travel & spend time in her home town of Michigan City, Indiana where her extended family, the beach, and a great outlet mall is located.

Relocation to Central Indiana is Kristie's Specialty:

Kristie Smith answered:
There are many available. What is your monthly amount you can spend, and what down payment do you have availalbe? - Mon May 5 2008, 18:48
Kristie Smith answered:
https://www.indystar.com - this site has a tax button on the homepage - you can type in the property address & get the new tax info. Remember, by May, 2010, all properties in Indiana will be capped at 1% of assessed value - this being the maximum annual tax amount possible. So, very soon, all houses will simply be taxed at 1% of value!! Hooray!! - Mon May 5 2008, 18:47
If you know the county that the property is located, you can simply call the local assessor's office for the MOST accurate information. For Marion County, only 2006 tax amounts are being used, and for all other counties, 2007 data is current information available. 2008 rates should be out in May (if they are on-time). But, a quick call to the assessor's office will get you immediate answers on a particular property. Feel free to call me if you want me to look something up in the online REALTOR tax records, too. --Kristie - Tue Mar 11 2008, 11:25
Kristie Smith answered:
Are you city people or suburb people? That's the key question. If you are city people, downtown, Broad Ripple or Butler are fun. Also in Carmel's city center it feels like "city" -- where you can walk everywhere. Eagle Creek park area is great, too. It's the largest city park in America & there is a dog park. So, if you are into your dog & love the outdoors, living close to that park is so lovely April-Sept. - Mon May 5 2008, 18:45
Kristie Smith answered:
Washington Township Schools has one of the best Gift programs in the state (Zionsville does too). For your price range of home, Washington Twp. might be best. These are the only two school systems in Indy w/ certified GT programs. - Mon May 5 2008, 18:42
Kristie Smith answered:
www.indystar.com has all of the most recent tax info (click on the property tax link on the home page). www.indyhomes.com is a good site for school info, relocation news and searching the MLS. - Mon May 5 2008, 18:39
