"Grace,
I hope you have some kind of client testimonial where you can post this, and you happen to be reading this, please take a few minutes to read.
Our first couple of months as first time home buyers/shoppers were horrible. The Real Estate Agent we were using filled us with empty promises and false hopes. We were ready to quit and figured it just wasn't time for us to buy. He went from telling us we could get a big two story home to telling me we need to adjust and get a two bedroom condo. Frustrated, I posted a question on the Trulia.com forum asking if all Realtors worked like this. You're response was personal, professional, and caring. When I contacted you, you asked that I try to work things out with my agent before teaming up with you. This told me you had morals, work ethic, and respect for others in your profession. After parting from him you were willing to meet me in Temecula from Hemet at a Starbucks, buy us coffee, and let me pick your brain and explain to you that I didn't want anyone toying with me and my family. You gave me your word you would not, and kept it. You explained to me that you view your clients as people and not as a paycheck. I must say when I first heard that I thought it was another line to get my business. But man, you really meant that and you proved it through our whole experience with our purchase. We agreed that we would start looking at the beginning of the following week being that you were taking a small vacation. Well instead, the very next day you emailed me a link to a home that was a "gem" and explained to me that we needed to view it right away because it would go fast. You met us there right away and we fell in love with it! We put in our first offer and then you left for your vacation. Unfortunately they accepted someone elses offer but you encouraged us the whole way looking at other houses. Then the email, explaining that the house we loved was available again due to a fallout in Escrow! You jumped on it so fast and negotiated with the listing agent, earning his favor by your excellent work ethic! Before you knew it, we had an accepted offer! We were in disbelief! We were so excited! From that point on you held our hand through every step being that we were nervous and didn't know what to expect.
Then the hard part came. Our Landlord was trying to force us to sign a lease or leave. So, taking a leap of faith, we left. At this point I was very skeptical and worrying that I made the wrong decision. My wife, 10 year old daughter, and 1 year old son went to stay with my Mother-in-Law in Las Vegas throughout Escrow. I stayed here with family and worked. I was very nervous and anxious. I had just moved my family out of our home of four years and parted with them to a different state. You knew our hurt and discouragement, but continued to comfort us and let us know that everything would be fine. From my experience of closing Escrow it was nothing short of a nightmare! People flaking, lying, treating us like a number, but you built a re-pore with these people along with me and followed up daily to be sure everyone was on task and that it was moving along. You were there every step of the way, remaining calm and taking care of business. When you called and told me that we were new homeowners I about hit the floor! I couldn't believe it! I called my wife and she was happier than I had seen her since before we moved! Then, on top of taking care of fronting your own money for our stove, you bought us a new microwave to replace the broken one as a gift to us!!! Not just some ordinary microwave, a GE Profile Convection Oven/Microwavet!!! Just unbelievable how much you care and that you find true joy in seeing your clients succeed in buying a home! Grace, we are so thankful for you. You are nothing short of a God sent blessing to us. Now here we are, living in the home we once thought was impossible for us to get, especially at the price we paid!!! Thank you for caring. Thank you for not viewing us as a pay check. Thank you for your sincere and loving heart. Thank you for treating us like people. Thank you for all of your hard work that got us in to our first home. Thank you for being such a great friend. I surely hope that you can share this email with other people and potential clients. I would love to tell people about your great work ethic and about all of the things I couldn't write out in this email. And I hope you never move far, because we will ALWAYS use you in any Real Estate transaction we may do. May God bless you for striving to do right in a wrong world. May He bless you for blessing us, and may He bless you for caring about people, even small ones like us who couldn't offer you a large comission because our approval was for under $200,000.00, yet you treated us as if we were buyin a two million dollar estate. Thank you Grace.
Your friends,
Chad & Rachel Dulaney"
