Timothy Jenkins answered:
The Virginian-Pilot has a section dedicated to foreclosure notices but, as Vicky already mentioned, they tend to be purchased by the bank. I could provide you with a list of bank owned properties if thats comething that you are interested in? tim@piccolipartners.com. I have them broken down by zip code if it helps... - Tue Jul 15 2008, 07:53
Timothy Jenkins answered:
I just did a search and came back with 18 that are LISTED for $250k or less. There are more that I'm sure could be negotiated down from their list price above $250k. All have at least 3 bedrooms and are listed as being in the Grassfield district. I have a friend that teaches there. I would be happy to meet with you and share this information if you would like. Email me back at Tim@PiccoliPartners.com if you're interested. Take care. - Sun Jul 13 2008, 16:53

Question removed

Timothy Jenkins answered:
Barbara is pretty much spot on. You should contact your preferred lender and see if they will accept this appraisal. The appraiser will, best case circumstance, charge a reassignment fee (typically around $75-$100), and you'll be back in business. Curious, is the lender that "conned" you into paying for the appraisal offering you rates and programs that are so bad. Are they willing to be competitive to tried to earn your business? - Tue Jun 24 2008, 20:13

Am I too young to buy?

Timothy Jenkins answered:
It sounds like you're really just wondering if you'll be approved for a mortgage. It is typically best to answer this question before you ask yourself a question you can yet answer realistically. I work for Nancy Chandler Associates Realtors, which represents the majority of the homes and sales in the area you are considering. Please feel free to email or call for more specific information. - Sun Jun 15 2008, 19:40

how can you tell if a property for sale is in foreclosure?

Timothy Jenkins answered:
To be certain, you can always have an attorney or title company order a title report. Sellers aren't always honest with their listing agent. - Tue May 27 2008, 08:59
