About Me
Steve Bright joined Keller Williams Realty on February 1, 2004 as a Realtor, specializing in residential real estate sales, both on the buyer side and the seller side. Since joining Keller Williams, Steve has completed extensive training and education to position himself as an expert in the real estate market. That training has paid off, as Steve has sold over ten million dollars of real estate for over sixty satisfied clients in four years, including over four million and 32 clients in 2007.

As a listing agent, Steve understands the difficulties of selling a home that are inherent in a buyer's market. Steve overcomes those difficulties for his clients by an extensive marketing program that saturates the market by directly targeting key demographic groups. Steve takes pride in constant communication and feedback both to his clients and on his clients behalf so that they always are informed of the status of their home. Steve's slogan is "No one will work harder to you" and Steve proves that to be true for all his clients. In 2007, Steve's average days on market for the homes he sold was 43 days, which is significantly less than the county-wide average of 92 days.

As a buyer's agent, Steve is aggressive and thorough and is never satisified until his buyer's find the perfect home in the perfect area at the perfect price. Once that home is found, Steve is an expert negotiator and consultant for his clients and he ensures that his buyers are comfortable and knowledgeable throughout the entire home buying process.

Steve and his wife, Susan, have two children, Lindsey, age five, and Marcus, age four. They live in Taylors, SC and are active members at Suber Road Baptist Church in Greer, SC. Steve's hobbies include spending time with his family and friends and following sports.

Prior to earning his real estate sales license and joining Keller Williams, Steve worked for eight years in public accounting, most recently as an auditor with KPMG. Steve has earned a BS in marketing management and is also a graduate of the Wyatt Real Estate Institute.

Lucas,

I live and work in the Greenville area and would love to help you find your new home. You should have no problem finding a home to suit you in that price range. There are many nice parks around the county; in fact, in my opinion, the Greenville County Recreation Department (http://www.gcrd.org/) is one of the finest in the country. Give me a call at 864-363-8592 and I can discuss parks, schools and other pertinent information about the area with you.

Thanks.

Candance,

Assuming you are a teacher, there are two programs you need to be aware of. One is the SC state housing loan program which is currently offering $7,000 of assistance for either closing costs or down payment for teachers. The other is a program through HUD that allows some teachers to purchase certain HUD homes at 50% of list price. Nor surprisingly, there are a number of stipulations for both of these programs, so feel free to give me a call at 864-363-8592 and we can discuss these in depth.

Thanks.

Racial Diversity-Greenville, SC

Steve Bright answered:
Rick,

As the others have said, we as Realtors have to be very careful in this area. If we say to avoid a particular area, we would (and, I believe, should) lose our license immediately. Fortunately, the answer to your question is that, in my experience, you will have no problem with this issue you are concerned about. Greenville is very racially diverse; in fact, per the 2000 census, only 40% of Greenville County is originally from Greenville County. One of the factors contributing to that statistic (and also contributing to Greenville's great economy) is that Greenville is a hub for international business. Please let me know if I can be of further help with your home search. You can reach me anytime at 864-363-8592 or sbright@kw.com.

I hate to sound like your dad, but the old adage is true - It is sounds to good to be true, it probably is. These type properties do not exist. Period. With all due respect, you should know better than to believe anything you see on an infomercial on TV. - Fri Apr 25 2008, 05:41
Steve Bright answered:
Generally speaking, open houses are a complete waste of time and money; they will not sell your house. If you want to sell your house quickly, ask your realtor for a price at which it would do that and decrease the price accordingly. By the way, if your realtor.com ad is any indication, your realtor is doing a good job of marketing your home. - Thu Apr 24 2008, 21:50
