Reminds me of my situation at http://www.145Gardenside.com where we accepted an FHA funded offer. Not unlike you, we were pretty sure there were none as FHA loan amounts were too low to even be viable to purchase a property here. The title rep at Chicago Title was awesome in this case as they did the research along with the mortgage broker. We closed in 30 days!
Short answer - call your title rep and see if they can help!
It does beg the question why the FHA doesn't know were it's money is???
